Toto
arrived in December 2002 after narrowly escaping euthanasia during
a Deschutes County Sheriff’s seizure in which 130 horses were
rescued. Toto was a year and a half old and had not been weaned
from his blind mother. His hooves needed to be cut back and
he had infected coffin bones. Due to the excellent diagnostics and
treatment by Dr. Daniel Harrison of Bend Equine, Toto is now sound
and healthy. In Toto’s case rehabilitation efforts paid off,
proving that complete recovery is often possible and a wonderful
horse was saved. |
